Students interested in majoring in political science will take the following required courses:

• POLS 1101 United States Government in Global Perspective
• POLS 2220 International Politics: States in the Global System
• POLS 3300 Research Methods.

 To fulfill the major, students will take an additional two (2) classes from the following list:

• POLS 1102 Introduction to Political Science
• POLS 1113 Introduction to Law
• POLS 2210 Comparative Politics
• POLS 4430 Senior Seminar

This provides a total of 15 required hours.

For the remaining 18 hours of political science, students may take any electives with the POLS (political science) prefix.

The total number of political science classes taken for the major will be 11 classes, or 33 hours.
